‘Tis the Season for Communityand Care

By Jake Mullery, Eagle Nest EMS Director, Contributing Writer
From all of us here at Eagle Nest Ambulance Service we would like to wish the entire Enchanted Circle a happy holiday and a safe winter season. Speaking of seasons, it is also the flu season here! In addition to rising cases of COVID, the seasonal flu is making its presence known, no matter if you were naughty or nice this year. Please stay healthy and protect those you love by distancing yourself if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms. For those of you interested in receiving at home COVID-19 tests, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made the statement, “As COVID-19 cases rise, it’s important to stay safe this winter. Each U.S. household can now order 4 COVID-19 at-home tests shipped straight to their door at no cost. All you need to do is visit COVIDtests.gov and enter your contact information and mailing address.”
Looking ahead to 2023, Eagle Nest Ambulance Service is excited to explore new healthcare delivery systems to increase access to basic care through a Mobile Integrated Healthcare program. In order to do so, we are proud to announce that we have hired a new EMS Deputy Director as a part time administrator and EMS provider here in the Valley! We are very much still in the research and brainstorming phase of this project, however, our intent is to improve the overall health and quality of life of those who live and visit the Moreno Valley through increasing access to basic healthcare.
Many of you have heard news about a hospital project here in Eagle Nest and we are still very excited about the opportunity to introduce a new healthcare facility here in the area! With that said, Mobile Integrated Healthcare is a pathway to increase access in the meantime while building a culture and community around healthcare and public safety.
Here is to a wonderful and productive 2023! n
